| ADVENTURE PROGRAMME Get Out Expeditions can tailormake your adventure holiday for you, no matter what your age is. A 73 year old man has already rockclimbed and absailed with us and enjoyed it, but then again so has a 6 year old. Being in the fortunate position of being based in George means adventure opportunities galore are at our backdoor. The only activity that takes more than an hours' drive would be the white water rafting. George has an airport enabling you to fly in for the adventure of a lifetime. Accommodation options range from luxurious to basic. Come and experience the Garden Route with us. You will not be disappointed. ABSAILING Absail safari's can be conducted as well as once off absails in prestine areas. Heights vary from 16 to 100 meters. You could absail by the sea while watching the whale during the whaling season or next to a local waterfall and get paddled out of the river. ROCKCLIMBING Sport routes in the little Karroo are some of the best in the area. Levels range from 18 to 32, all at one rock! Trad climbing expeditions are all over the area, but Get Out Expeditions have a few favorites. The areas' natural beauty and splendour would have you in awe. WHITE WATER RAFTING These expeditions are conducted in various South African rivers and only guided by experienced guides. The river rafted depends on clients' needs and time available. They range from the Breede River (1 and 2 day expeditions) to the Orange River (3 to 5 day expeditions). WAVE RAFTING This is a relatively unknown activity for most, but Get Out Expeditions have been conducting it since 1997. We engage the waves on a few beaches in the Garden Route depending on client needs and competencies. The crafts used are inflatable white water rafts called Crocs. You can ride the waves or just paddle out to watch dolphins frolicking depending on the conditions of the sea. MOUNTAINEERING/HIKING Let Get Out Expeditions guide you to the tops of the highest peaks in the area or just hike through mountain ranges and coastal hiking routes with us. The vegetation in this area is part of the unique Fynbos of the Western Cape region of South Africa. It is found nowhere else in the world. Experienced Mountain guides will ensure your safety and maximum enjoyment. KLOOFING/CANYONING Get Out Expeditions is one of the companies that holds a consession to travel through the upper parts of the Kaaimans Kloof with tourists/clients. This is an epic journey that involves swimming through dark mountain pools with rockfaces on both sides and experience the untouched beauty of this small canyon, culminating in absailing in behind the last waterfall, before swimming out to warm beverages. 4x4 EXCURSIONS How many days do you want to travel and how many different mountain ranges do you want to go through? The 4X4 routes in the area are mostly connected by a short butamen/gravel strip requiring you to travel in 4X4 most of the time. The places Get Out Expeditions will take you to are not only scenic, serene and challenging; there are places that have amazing stories from history to tell you. You can come in your own 4X4 or else we will rent one on your behalf. Routes are chosen in such a way that any driver can participate regardless of the skills level. |
